The Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet made a final decision about going to Pakistan to play the 2025 Champions Trophy. For this they are awaiting permission from the Indian government.
Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has given his opinion in favor of such a decision of the board. According to him, it is not safe for India to visit Pakistan.
When asked about India’s visit to Pakistan, Harbhajan Singh told Indo-Asian News Agency, “There is security concern in Pakistan. The situation is such that every day something or the other happens in Pakistan. I don’t think it’s safe to play there. ‘ “BCCI’s decision is absolutely right. Nothing is more important than the safety of the players’ lives. I am in favor of BCCI’s decision. ‘
However, the host Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is trying in various ways to convince the Indian team. The PCB has announced that all India’s matches will be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore in February-March next year. They also said that the Indian cricketers are staying in the hotel next to the stadium.
