Once again, Mehidy Hasan Miraz won the toss, but this time, the Bangladesh captain opted to bat instead of fielding. Bangladesh made two changes to their lineup: Shadman Islam replaced Zakir Hasan, and Nahid Rana came in for pacer Shoriful Islam. Meanwhile, the West Indies retained the same XI from the first Test.
The match is set to begin at 2 AM (local time).
Bangladesh Playing XI

Brathwaite’s Remarkable Streak
Kraigg Brathwaite set a new record for the West Indies by playing his 86th consecutive Test match, surpassing the legendary Sir Garfield Sobers, who played 85 straight Tests from 1955 to 1972.
Brathwaite debuted in Test cricket against Pakistan in 2011, and this match against Bangladesh in Kingston is his 96th overall. Since June 16, 2014, he hasn’t missed a single Test for the West Indies, although in his first three years, he wasn’t included in seven matches.
Sir Gary Sobers, widely regarded as one of the greatest all-rounders, played 93 Tests in his career, scoring 8,032 runs at an average of 57.78 and taking 235 wickets. After Brathwaite and Sobers, other West Indies legends with impressive streaks include Desmond Haynes (72), Brian Lara (64), Rohan Kanhai (61), and Viv Richards (61).
World Record for Consecutive Tests
The global record for consecutive Test matches belongs to England’s Alastair Cook, who played 159 straight Tests out of 161 in his career. Cook broke Australia’s Allan Border’s record of 153 consecutive Tests.
Other players with 100+ consecutive Tests include Australia’s Mark Waugh (107), India’s Sunil Gavaskar (106), New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum (101), and Australia’s Nathan Lyon (100).
