Three young Bangladesh cricket stars—Jaker Ali Anik, Akbar Ali, and Parvez Hossain Emon—are set to play for Legends of Rupganj (LOP) in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL). Additionally, Najmul Hossain Shanto and Rishad Hossain are also likely to join LOP, according to a source who confirmed this to Midfield.
Following the conclusion of the BPL, players will shift their focus to the DPL, the oldest and most prestigious local cricket tournament in Bangladesh. While most players have already confirmed their teams, the player registration deadline has not yet been set. The Cricket Committee for Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM), which organizes the DPL, told Midfield that they aim to start the tournament in the first week of March, with the transfer window opening in late February.
Since the CCDM has not made an official announcement about the player transfer deadline, clubs have not been able to release their official player lists. However, most clubs have already finalized their squads.
Before joining LOP, Jaker played for Abahani Limited last season, Parvez represented Prime Bank, and Akbar played for Gazi Group. Similarly, Najmul Hossain Shanto also played for Abahani, while Rishad represented Shinepukur Cricket Club.
