Taskeen Ahmed was rewarded for his leadership in the pace department by earning a spot in the top category of the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) central contract. Meanwhile, Mahmudullah chose to remove his name from the central contract.
In a notable development, Nahid Rana secured his place in the central contract for the first time, showcasing his pace in international cricket. The BCB announced the list of central contracts for 2025 on Monday through a press release.
In recent years, the BCB had entered into separate contracts based on formats with players. However, this time, they have moved away from that system, categorizing 22 players into five groups: ‘A Plus’, ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’, and ‘D’. Last year, 21 players were included in the central contract.
