Jacob Duffy’s impressive bowling form throughout March has put him in line for a major accolade. The New Zealand pacer has been shortlisted for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award. He is joined on the list by teammate Rachin Ravindra and India’s Shreyas Iyer.

Jacob Duffy

Duffy had a stellar outing in the five-match T20I series against Pakistan, playing a key role in New Zealand’s 4-1 series win. He picked up 13 wickets at an average of 8.38 and an economy rate of just 6.17.

In the opening match in Christchurch, Duffy claimed a career-best 4 for 14. He followed it up with another four-wicket haul in the fourth game at Mount Maunganui, conceding only 20 runs. His consistent performances tormented Pakistan’s batters and helped him climb to the top of the T20I bowling rankings.

He also played one ODI during the month, taking two wickets against Pakistan.

Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer was a key figure in India’s Champions League victory last month. In March, he played three ODIs, scoring 172 runs at an average of 57.33 and a strike rate of 77.47, finishing as India’s top scorer in the tournament.

He scored 79* against New Zealand in the group stage, 45 in the semi-final against Australia, and a vital 48 in the final, again against New Zealand.

Rachin Ravindra

Ravindra played a crucial role in helping New Zealand reach the Champions League final. He smashed a brilliant 108 in the semi-final against South Africa, sharing a 164-run stand with Kane Williamson, which set a record for the highest team total in the tournament.

In total, Ravindra scored 151 runs in three ODIs at an average of 50.33 and a strike rate of 106.33. He also contributed with the ball, taking three wickets at an economy of 4.66.

Chetna Prasad

The 19-year-old U.S. spinner lit up the Women’s T20 World Cup regional qualifiers last month. Chetna bagged 9 wickets in just three matches, with an astonishing average of 2.22!

She took 4 wickets for 8 runs against Brazil, picked up one against Argentina, and returned with 4 for 5 versus Canada.

Annabel Sutherland

After being named December’s Player of the Month, Sutherland is once again in the spotlight. In three T20Is against New Zealand last month, she picked up 8 wickets at an average of just 8.

Though wicketless in the first match, she bounced back strongly, grabbing four wickets each in the next two. With the bat, the Australian all-rounder scored 34 runs across two innings.

Georgia Voll

Georgia Voll made her international debut in December and has quickly become a key figure in the Australian squad. The 21-year-old top-order batter impressed in all three T20Is she played last month.

She started with a 50-run knock in Auckland, added 36 in Mount Maunganui, and closed the series with a commanding 75 in the final match.
