For Bangladesh, Tanzid Hasan led the way with the highest runs against Pakistan in the T20I series, climbing up the rankings. Parvez Hossain, who scored a fifty in the final match, also reached his career-best position, while Zaker Ali improved his ranking as well.
The ICC released its weekly update of the men’s player rankings on Wednesday. Among T20I batsmen, openers Tanzid and Parvez made significant progress, each rising 28 spots.
Though Tanzid couldn’t score a fifty in any of the three T20I matches in Pakistan, he consistently got good starts, scoring 31, 33, and 42 runs respectively.
Despite Bangladesh being whitewashed in the series, Tanzid’s total 106 runs made him the top scorer for his team, placing him at 53rd in the rankings.
Parvez, Tanzid’s opening partner, had a slow start with 4 and 8 runs in the first two matches. But he bounced back with a strong 66 off 34 balls in the final game. This effort pushed him into the top 100 T20I batsmen, now ranked 95th.
Zaker Ali, who scored 51 runs in the series, moved up 3 places to 68th. Among Bangladesh’s T20I batsmen, Towhid Hridoy leads the way, ranked 41st despite dropping 7 spots.
