The 1992–93 Ranji Trophy marked the 59th season of this first-class cricket tournament in India. A total of 26 teams participated in the competition, which utilized a structure of league and knockout matches to determine the winner.
Punjab claimed their first-ever title by defeating Maharashtra in the final. After winning the toss in the championship match, Punjab chose to bat first to set the terms of play.
Individual performances stood out throughout the season. Santosh Jedhe from Maharashtra led all batters by scoring 867 runs across the tournament. He also contributed with the ball, taking 37 wickets.
Punjab relied heavily on Bharati Vij to control the opposition during their title run. Vij finished the season as the leading wicket-taker, claiming 49 wickets.
