The 1907-08 Sheffield Shield marked the 16th season of the Australian first-class cricket competition. This edition featured three teams, with Victoria, New South Wales, and South Australia competing in a format intended as a double round-robin. However, the schedule faced significant disruption as South Australia did not play their home matches, ultimately limiting the season to only four matches.
Victoria claimed the title, securing their sixth championship win. Despite the curtailed schedule, individual players still recorded notable performances. Monty Noble of New South Wales topped the run-scoring charts for the season with 585 runs.
Jack Saunders of the victorious Victoria side dominated with the ball. He finished the season as the leading wicket-taker, claiming 20 wickets across the limited matches played.
