Allahudien Paleker serves as a member of the ICC Elite umpire panel. Born on 1 January 1978 in Cape Town, South Africa, he brings a background in professional cricket to his officiating duties. Before moving to the other side of the stumps, he played 16 first-class matches, where he scored 485 runs at an average of 23.09. His highest score reached 71 not out, and he claimed 17 catches along with one stumping during his playing days.
Paleker built his officiating career through domestic South African cricket, including the Ram Slam T20 Challenge, before joining Cricket South Africa’s first-class panel. The ICC promoted him to its International Panel of Umpires in November 2017. His debut in the T20 International format occurred on 21 February 2018 in a match between South Africa and India at Centurion Park. Less than a year later, on 19 January 2019, he stood in his first One Day International between South Africa and Pakistan at St George's Park.
