Lester Leendertz grew up in Bellville, South Africa. Born on 16 February 1967, he eventually moved into the world of officiating within the domestic cricket scene.
His work as an umpire includes appearances in the 2016–17 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup. He also stood in matches during the 2016–17 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge.
