Rabiul Hoque was born on 1 January 1983 in Chittagong, Bangladesh. After spending his early years in his home country, he emigrated to the United Arab Emirates in 2005. The move allowed the Bangladeshi-born official to establish himself in the UAE, where he went on to become an international cricket umpire.
His biggest milestone on the park arrived on 14 February 2016, when he made his debut as an international umpire. Hoque stood in a Twenty20 International match between Ireland and the United Arab Emirates, which remains his single T20I appearance as an official.
