Yvonne Dolphin-Cooper was born in Coventry on 4 August 1956. She started her officiating career in 2012, focusing on the domestic women's game in England. Over the years, her work has covered several key competitions, including the Women's Twenty20 Cup and the Women's County Championship.
Her involvement in the sport reaches across various levels and formats. She has officiated in both the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and the Charlotte Edwards Cup. Beyond the women's domestic circuit, she has spent time as an umpire in the West of England Premier League and has officiated in matches for visually impaired cricketers.
A notable moment arrived in May 2021 during a West of England Premier League match between Downend CC and Bedminster in Gloucestershire. Working alongside Anna Harris, she formed part of the first all-female umpiring duo in the history of the ECB Premier League.
