West Indies have announced their squad for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. All-rounder Jason Holder is absent from the 15-member squad due to injury, with fellow all-rounder Anderson Phillip taking his place.
Spinner Kevin Sinclair makes a return to the squad, while Alzarri Joseph, who was rested during the South Africa series, is also back. Led by Kraigg Brathwaite, the West Indies have named a full-strength squad for the series.
The team last played a Test series in August against South Africa. Four changes have been made to that squad, one of which is due to a shoulder injury.
West Indies Squad:
Kraigg Brathwaite (C), Joshua Da Silva, Alick Athanaze, Keacy Carty, Justin Greaves, Kavem Hodge, Tevin Imlach, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Mckenny Clarke, Anderson Phillip, Kemar Roach, Jayden Seales, Kevin Sinclair, Jomel Warrican.
Kevin Sinclair replaces fellow spinner Bryan Charles, who did not get a chance to play in the South Africa series. Sinclair has played two Test matches so far, taking four wickets. Another spinner, Gudakesh Motie, has also been left out of the squad for this series.
West Indies lost their last Test series against South Africa 1-0, while Bangladesh also faced South Africa in their most recent Test series, losing 2-0.
Both teams played those series at home. Bangladesh will be without two key players for this series due to injuries. Mushfiqur Rahim was ruled out earlier, and captain Nazmul Hossain has since joined him on the sidelines.
The first Test begins on November 22 in North Sound, while the second Test will be held in Kingston, starting November 30.
