Shamim Hossain’s international T20 career spans 21 matches, where he has batted in 16 innings. Remarkably, in his first two matches and his most recent two matches, Shamim achieved a strike rate of over 200. His back-to-back performances in the West Indies with strike rates exceeding 200 have earned him a notable record.

Shamim now shares the record for the most innings with a 200+ strike rate among Bangladeshi batsmen in international cricket. He tied with Litton Das for this achievement, calculated based on innings where players scored at least 25 runs.

While Shamim has achieved this feat four times in just 16 innings, Litton has done so over 92 innings. This means Shamim has hit a strike rate of 200+ roughly once every four innings, while Litton has managed it once every 23 innings.

Mahmudullah sits third on the list, with three innings of 200+ strike rates under the same criteria.

Overall, Bangladeshi batsmen have managed 200+ strike rates in innings of 25 runs or more only 26 times in T20 cricket. This statistic highlights Bangladesh’s struggles in this format.

Among Test-playing nations, Bangladesh ranks at the bottom in this category. For comparison, Ireland, despite playing fewer T20 matches than Bangladesh, has recorded 36 innings with a 200+ strike rate for scores of 25 or more. Meanwhile, current world champions India lead the list with 89 such innings.
