Along with the champions and runners-up, the other two teams reaching the playoffs will also receive substantial cash prizes, and a new ‘Emerging Player’ award has been added this year.

Despite complaints about mismanagement and inconsistencies, this season of BPL has seen an increase in runs on the field, and the prize money for the tournament has also been raised. Compared to last season, an additional 2 crore 3 lakh taka will be awarded on the final day of the BPL.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the prize money in a press release on the evening before the final. This year, a total of 5 crore 31 lakh taka will be distributed. Last season, the amount was 3 crore 28 lakh taka.

In the title race on Friday, Fortune Barishal and Chattogram Kings will face off. The winning team will receive 2.5 crore taka, while the runners-up will be awarded 1.5 crore taka.

These amounts were 2 crore and 1 crore taka, respectively, last year.

This season, for the first time, there will be cash rewards for the third and fourth-place teams. The eliminated Rangpur Riders will receive 40 lakh taka, while Khulna Tigers, who lost in the second qualifier to Chattogram, will get 60 lakh taka.

The best player of the final will receive 5 lakh taka, while the best player of the tournament will get 10 lakh taka. Mehedi Hasan Miraz is a strong contender for the all-rounder award, with his teammate Mohammad Naeem Sheikh also having a good chance.

Just like last year, the highest run-scorer of the tournament will receive 5 lakh taka. Naeem Sheikh, who scored 511 runs with one century and three fifties, is far ahead of the batsmen from the final two teams.

In the first round, Taskin Ahmed took 25 wickets for Durbar Rajshahi, and he is the favorite for the best bowler award this season, having set the record for the most wickets in a single BPL season. To match his record, Syed Khaled Ahmed will need to take five wickets in the final.

The best fielder of the tournament will receive 3 lakh taka, and with 13 catches in 12 matches, Ariful Haque, the captain of Sylhet Strikers, is leading in this category.

For the first time, an ‘Emerging Player of the Tournament’ award has been introduced, with a prize of 3 lakh taka.
