There are no issues with the bowling action of Australia’s left-arm spinner in international cricket.

Matthew Kuneman has passed his bowling action test, meaning there are no restrictions on his bowling in international cricket.

Kuneman’s bowling action was questioned during his recent tour of Sri Lanka. He played a crucial role in whitewashing Sri Lanka in the two-Test series, taking 16 wickets.

Since starting his professional career in 2017, this is the first time Kuneman’s bowling action has been questioned. On February 15, the 28-year-old underwent a bowling action test at the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane.

The ICC announced on Wednesday that Kuneman’s bowling action complies with regulations, as his elbow remained within the 15-degree limit for all types of deliveries.

Despite his action being under scrutiny, Kuneman had no restrictions in domestic cricket. Before the test, he was scheduled to play for Tasmania against South Australia in the Sheffield Shield, but he missed the match due to an injury. He underwent the bowling action test while dealing with a thumb injury.

It is still uncertain whether he will be fit in time to play for Tasmania against Queensland in Hobart on March 6.

So far, Kuneman has taken 25 wickets in 5 Tests and 6 wickets in 4 ODIs for Australia.
