New Zealand pacer Matt Henry will continue his rehabilitation process as he is yet to fully recover from a shoulder injury.

Although he wasn’t completely fit, New Zealand added Henry to the squad for the final two T20Is against Pakistan. However, before he could take the field, the pacer found himself sidelined once again.

On Saturday, New Zealand Cricket confirmed that Henry would continue with his rehabilitation, ruling him out of the last two matches of the series.

Henry sustained the shoulder injury while fielding during the Champions Trophy semi-final. As a result, he missed the final against India, where his absence was deeply felt. Rohit Sharma’s team edged out the Kiwis by four wickets in a heartbreaking loss.

New Zealand left Henry out of the squad for the first three T20Is against Pakistan. Despite recalling him for the final two matches, he has now been ruled out again.

In Henry’s absence, New Zealand has retained Zachary Foulkes, who was part of the first three T20Is. Foulkes played in the first two matches of the series.

The Kiwis have made another change for the final two games, dropping Kyle Jamieson. Jamieson had an impressive start, taking 3 wickets for 8 runs in the first T20I to earn the Player of the Match award. However, he struggled in the next game, conceding 54 runs without a wicket in a losing cause.

To replace Jamieson, New Zealand has called up Will O’Rourke. Although he was part of the squad for the first three T20Is, he is yet to play a match in this series.

New Zealand currently leads the five-match series 2-1. The fourth and fifth T20Is will be held on Sunday and Wednesday.

New Zealand Squad for the Final Two T20Is Against Pakistan:

Michael Bracewell (Captain), Finn Allen, Mitchell Hay, Tim Robinson, Tim Seifert, Mark Chapman, Zachary Foulkes, Daryl Mitchell, James Neesham, Jacob Duffy, Will O’Rourke, Ben Sears, Ish Sodhi.
