The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the list of players for the new central contracts for the 2024-25 season. The contract will be valid from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.
A total of 34 players have been included in the new contract list, with Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja retaining their positions in the top-grade (A+), just like before. New to this contract list are Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan, who were not part of the previous one. Rishabh Pant has moved up from the B grade to the A grade.
Although Rohit, Kohli, and Jadeja have retired from international T20s and are now only playing Test and ODI formats, BCCI has kept them in the top A+ grade. The salary structure remains unchanged, with A+ grade players earning ₹7 crore annually. Players in the A grade will receive ₹5 crore, B grade players ₹3 crore, and C grade players ₹1 crore annually.
