After the series against the United Arab Emirates, the Bangladesh team will train for two days in Dubai before flying to Pakistan.
With Bangladesh’s tour of Pakistan now confirmed, the schedule for the series has also been finalized. The three-match T20 series will begin this coming Wednesday.
The second and third matches will be held on May 30 and June 1. All games will take place in Lahore, starting at 9 PM Bangladesh time.
Bangladesh’s three-match series against the UAE will conclude on Wednesday. The following day, the team will rest, and then on Friday and Saturday, Litton Das and his squad will train in Dubai. On Sunday, they will depart for Lahore.
According to the ICC’s Future Tours Programme (FTP), Bangladesh was originally scheduled to play three ODIs and three T20Is during this tour. However, with the upcoming T20 World Cup in mind, both cricket boards agreed to drop the ODI series and instead finalize a five-match T20I series.
The series was initially supposed to start on May 25. But due to uncertainty caused by tensions between India and Pakistan, Bangladesh’s tour was put in doubt. Eventually, after lengthy discussions between the two boards in Dubai, the tour was confirmed. On Tuesday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that Bangladesh would now play a three-match T20 series instead of five. At that time, the schedule hadn’t been released—but now, that formality is complete.
Pakistan’s squad for the series was also announced on Wednesday morning.
