Following Bangladesh’s series win against Pakistan, Sheikh Mehedi Hasan, Towhid Hridoy, and Shariful Islam have all climbed the ICC T20 rankings.

Mustafizur Rahman played a key role in Bangladesh’s back-to-back home wins over Pakistan, boosting his position in the ICC rankings. The experienced left-arm pacer has returned to the top ten among T20 bowlers. Among batsmen, Tanzid Hasan and Zaker Ali made significant leaps.

The ICC released the weekly update of the men’s player rankings on Wednesday. After shining in the Pakistan series, Sheikh Mehedi Hasan, Towhid Hridoy, and Shariful Islam have all moved up the rankings.

In the first match of the series, Mustafizur set a record with economical bowling, taking 2 wickets for just 6 runs in 4 overs. In the next game, he took 1 wicket for 15 runs.

Thanks to his outstanding bowling, he jumped 17 places to 9th, sharing the spot with India’s Arshdeep Singh, who also has a rating of 653. This is Mustafizur’s first time in the top ten since October 2021.

Off-spinner Mehedi has climbed 9 spots to 16th, while Tanzim Hasan has also moved up 9 places, currently tied at 37th with Kuldeep Yadav.

Shariful took 3 wickets for 17 runs after returning to the playing XI in the second match, moving up 14 spots to 43rd. Tashkin Ahmed climbed 1 spot to 27th, while Rishad Hossain dropped 3 places to 20th.

Jacob Duffy of New Zealand retains the top spot among bowlers.

Among batsmen, Tanzid Hasan jumped 18 places to 37th with a rating of 557. He is currently the highest-ranked Bangladeshi batsman. Towhid Hridoy advanced 2 spots to share 39th place with Quinton de Kock.

Zaker Ali’s responsible 55 off 48 balls in the second T20 lifted him 18 spots to 53rd, sharing the rank with two others. This marks his career-best rating and ranking.

Australian Travis Head continues to lead the batting rankings, while West Indies’ Shai Hope rose 4 spots to 10th.

In the all-rounders’ rankings, Roston Chase made a big leap, moving up 7 spots to a career-best 2nd place, second only to India’s Hardik Pandya.
