India is set to return to England in 2026 for a white-ball series, featuring a total of eight limited-overs matches.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Thursday released the schedule for their 2026 home international season. As per the announcement, India will tour England next year, just a year after their ongoing Test series in the country.
England’s summer will kick off with a three-match Test series against New Zealand in June 2026. The first Test begins on June 4 at Lord’s, followed by matches at The Oval and Trent Bridge.
Starting from July 1, England will face India in a five-match T20I series, with the remaining matches scheduled for July 4, 7, 9, and 11. The two teams will then play three ODIs on July 14, 16, and 19.
After the limited-overs matches against India, England will switch back to red-ball cricket for a three-Test series against Pakistan, slated for August and September.
In September, England will host Sri Lanka for three ODIs and three T20Is.
On the women’s side, England will face New Zealand in May for a white-ball series comprising three ODIs and three T20Is. In May–June, England Women will also take on India in three T20Is — a key preparation ahead of the home Women’s T20 World Cup set for June–July.
After the World Cup, England Women are scheduled to play a one-off Test against India in July, followed by a three-match ODI series against Ireland in September.
