For the first time, Bangladesh’s star could be seen playing in the UAE’s franchise league.
Mustafizur Rahman now has the opportunity to make his debut in the UAE’s franchise IL T20 league. The left-arm pacer from Bangladesh has been signed by the Dubai Capitals.
The reigning champions of the IL T20 announced on social media Tuesday that Mustafiz will join the squad as a replacement for England’s left-arm pacer, Luke Wood.
Previously, the 29-year-old has featured in overseas franchise leagues including the IPL, PSL, and Lanka Premier League.
So far in T20 cricket, Mustafiz has played 289 matches, taking 362 wickets at an economy rate of 7.45. He has claimed five wickets in an innings on four occasions.
The fourth season of the IL T20 will begin on December 2, with the final scheduled for January 4 next year. During the same period, the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) may also take place in Bangladesh.
