Indian opener Abhishek Sharma has broken Dawid Malan’s record for the highest rating points among T20I batsmen.
With consistent performances, Abhishek has further strengthened his hold at the top of the T20I batting rankings, setting a new benchmark for the highest rating points in this format. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Saim Ayub has reached a career milestone by climbing to the No.1 spot among T20I all-rounders for the first time.
The ICC released its latest weekly update of men’s rankings on Wednesday.
Abhishek now holds 926 rating points in T20Is, surpassing the record Malan set five years ago. The English batter had achieved 919 points in 2020.
In the all-rounders’ list, Saim Ayub jumped four places to the top with 241 rating points, pushing India’s Hardik Pandya (233) down to second after a long stay at No.1.
