Tilak Varma and Washington Sundar have returned to the team.
India’s selectors have brought back Shreyas Iyer and Ravi Bishnoi for the T20I series against New Zealand, replacing the injured Washington Sundar and Tilak Varma.
According to a BCCI press release on Friday, Shreyas has been included in the squad for the first three matches of the series.
Sundar had reported a rib injury while bowling in the first ODI against New Zealand on January 11. He has since undergone a scan and is currently at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence. Ayush Badoni has been called up in his place for the remainder of the ODI series.
Tilak Varma has been ruled out of the first three matches following surgery.
