Real Madrid’s forward Kylian Mbappé scored a stunning goal in their Champions League match against Atalanta, but was forced off the field due to injury. Despite securing an important 3-2 win, there’s still some unease in the Real Madrid camp because of Mbappé’s injury. The team is already struggling with several key players sidelined, and if Mbappé joins them, it could spell trouble. However, coach Carlo Ancelotti remains hopeful that the injury is not too serious.

In the Champions League match on Tuesday, Mbappé’s goal in the 10th minute put Real Madrid ahead against Atalanta. This marked his 50th goal in the competition, making him the fourth fastest player to reach this milestone, achieving it in 79 matches. Only Ruud van Nistelrooy (62), Lionel Messi (66), and Robert Lewandowski (77) reached 50 goals faster.

Mbappé was substituted in the 36th minute due to discomfort in his thigh. Despite the injury scare, Real managed to secure the 3-2 win, with goals from Vinícius Júnior and Jude Bellingham.

After the match, Ancelotti spoke about Mbappé’s injury, saying, “He felt a strain in his thigh, and there’s discomfort. We’ll have to test him. It doesn’t seem too serious for now, but I’m not sure. We’ll know more tomorrow. He couldn’t run on the field and felt discomfort, so we had to take him off.”

While his teammates, like Brahim Díaz, expressed concern for Mbappé’s injury, they were hopeful it wasn’t too serious. “I hugged him, but I don’t know anything about his injury. I hope it’s nothing too bad,” Brahim said.

With this victory over Atalanta, Real Madrid has climbed from 24th to 18th in the standings.
