Despite Manchester City’s 7th loss in their last 10 matches, coach Pep Guardiola was pleased with the players’ dedication.

Both teams were struggling, and City showed that they are currently at the bottom of this rough patch. However, even after the defeat to Juventus in this Champions League match, Guardiola was happy with the team’s performance. For him, City remains the best team, and he is proud of the players’ commitment.

City played Juventus away on Wednesday, and before this match, Juventus had won only one of their last six games across all competitions. Yet, they managed to defeat City 2-0 in this match.

This was City’s 7th loss in their last 10 games, with their Champions League record now showing two wins, two losses, and two draws from six matches. But despite the loss, Guardiola had no complaints about his players. Instead, he praised their effort.

“We played well, really well,” said Guardiola. “But we couldn’t deliver the final pass. We couldn’t complete the final task. Still, I am proud of the boys. They gave everything, and they didn’t hold back. We are the best, and I love my team.”

“We are in this reality right now, but I hope we can change it and get the results we expect. I know it’s tough. Competing in the Champions League in Europe is difficult. But we really played well.”

Guardiola acknowledged that the tough times are making him question things but emphasized that he and his team know how to stay strong through such phases.

“Of course (I question myself)… I have my thoughts. But whether times are good or bad, I stay stable. I always find a way to remain calm. I am incredibly honest. The dressing room is also very stable. When we win, we’re happy; when we lose, we’re not happy. What more can I do? Should I keep feeling sorry for myself? No, we’ll improve and move forward.”

“We’ve been in situations like this before. Tomorrow will be our recovery day, and then we’ll start preparing for the United match. We’ll focus on the good things and try to do even better.”

City’s next match is on Sunday against Manchester United in the Premier League. Their path to the next stage in the Champions League is now challenging, as they are currently in 22nd place in the 36-team group. They have two remaining matches in the group stage.
