Arsenal stumble in consecutive Premier League matches under Mikel Arteta, struggling to regain momentum in the title race.

Despite relentless attacking from start to finish, Arsenal failed to seriously trouble the opposition goalkeeper. Dropping points against Everton has further dented their hopes of climbing back to the top of the league table.

Saturday’s Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium ended in a frustrating goalless draw.

Following three consecutive league wins, Arsenal had drawn 1-1 away at Fulham last week. This time, they faltered again with a lackluster performance at home against a team near the bottom of the table.

Arsenal kept the pressure on their weaker opponents from the start but struggled to create clear chances. After four off-target attempts, they got a golden opportunity in the 29th minute to break the deadlock.

Bukayo Saka weaved past a defender inside the box and set up Martin Ødegaard in an ideal position. However, the Arsenal captain failed to capitalize, with his shot deflected by a defender and saved by the goalkeeper.

The second half followed a similar script. Despite dominating possession, Arsenal’s attacks lacked sharpness. After seven shots in the first half, they managed another six in the second but couldn’t breach Everton’s resolute defense.

With eight wins and six draws from 16 matches, Arsenal now sit third in the table with 30 points.

Everton, meanwhile, remain in 15th place with 15 points from 15 matches.

Elsewhere, Liverpool played out a thrilling 2-2 draw against Fulham. The Reds remain at the top of the table with 36 points from 15 matches.
