  • Liverpool 4-1 Ipswich
  • Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
  • Bournemouth 5-0 Nottingham Forest

Liverpool secured a dominant 4-1 victory over relegation-threatened Ipswich Town, with Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, and Dominik Szoboszlai all finding the net. Arsenal, on the other hand, edged past Wolverhampton Wanderers with a hard-fought 1-0 win, marking their return to winning ways in the Premier League.

On Saturday, Liverpool showcased an attacking masterclass at Anfield. Cody Gakpo scored twice, while Salah and Szoboszlai added one each. Meanwhile, Arsenal overcame Wolves in a tense encounter, with Riccardo Calafiori scoring the decisive goal in a clash that saw both teams reduced to 10 men.

Liverpool Dominate Ipswich
Liverpool came out all guns blazing at Anfield, pressing Ipswich from the start. Szoboszlai opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a powerful strike from outside the box after a brilliant pass from Ibrahima Konaté.

Salah doubled the lead in the 35th minute, capitalizing on a missed header from Szoboszlai off Cody Gakpo’s cross. The unmarked Egyptian fired a fierce shot past Ipswich goalkeeper Christian Walton, bringing his Premier League goal tally this season to 19.

Gakpo made it 3-0 just before halftime, reacting quickly to a rebound after Walton parried Szoboszlai’s effort. The Dutch forward added his second in the 66th minute with a perfectly timed header from a Trent Alexander-Arnold cross.

Ipswich managed a consolation goal in the 90th minute when defender Jax Graves scored with a powerful header from Julio Enciso’s corner.

Liverpool now sit comfortably at the top of the table with 53 points from 22 matches, including 16 wins and 5 draws. Ipswich, on the other hand, remain in 18th place with 16 points, further deepening their relegation worries after three consecutive defeats.

Arsenal Edge Wolves in a Tight Contest
Arsenal had to dig deep for their win at Molineux. The Gunners were reduced to 10 men in the 43rd minute when Myles Lewis-Skelly was shown a red card. Despite the numerical advantage, Wolves couldn’t capitalize, as João Gomes also received a second yellow card in the 70th minute.

Just four minutes later, Riccardo Calafiori scored the winning goal for Arsenal. The Italian defender struck a thunderous left-footed shot from the left side, sealing a crucial victory for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Arsenal are now second in the league with 47 points from 23 matches, just behind Liverpool. Wolves, with the same number of matches played, sit in 17th place with 16 points, ahead of Ipswich on goal difference.
