Saka’s Return to Training Brings Boost for Arsenal

Bukayo Saka’s return to training is a welcome relief for Arsenal. While he’s not yet ready for match action, the English forward has resumed light training with the squad.

Saka has been sidelined since December after suffering a hamstring injury during Arsenal’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace. The injury required surgery, and at the time, manager Mikel Arteta couldn’t provide a timeline for his return.

However, Saka has now joined Arsenal’s training camp in Dubai and was spotted working out in the gym on Monday as he aims for a full return to training. If all goes well, Arsenal hopes to have him back by March—just in time for a crucial period in the Premier League and the Champions League knockout rounds.

Last week, Arsenal suffered a setback after losing both legs of their EFL Cup semi-final against Newcastle United. Saka’s potential return is a major boost as the team looks to move past that disappointment.

Before his injury, the 23-year-old winger had contributed five goals and ten assists in the league this season.

After an 11-day break, Arsenal will return to action on Saturday against Leicester City. They currently sit second in the Premier League table with 50 points from 24 matches, trailing leaders Liverpool by six points, who have a game in hand.

Arsenal has also secured a spot in the Champions League Round of 16.
