After recovering from an ACL injury, Manchester City’s Spanish midfielder, Rodri, has started individual training sessions.

This is great news for Manchester City supporters. Rodri, the team’s key midfielder, has taken another step toward returning to the field following his injury. The Spanish star, who won the Ballon d’Or, has begun solo training sessions.

On Friday, the English club posted a video on Instagram, showing the 28-year-old Rodri performing some drills.

Rodri sustained a serious injury during a 2-2 draw against Arsenal last September. It was later revealed that he tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), requiring surgery.

At the time, City’s coach, Pep Guardiola, expressed concerns about Rodri possibly missing the rest of the season. However, Rodri has remained hopeful about making his return this season. In November, he mentioned that he was focused on working toward that goal.

While it’s still unclear exactly when Rodri will be back on the pitch, his return to training is certainly a relief for City.

Rodri has taken a positive outlook on his injury, acknowledging that it is part of the game. Earlier this month, he stated, “I always thank the Creator for everything and try to stay positive during times like this. I try to do other things that I’m not used to.”

He added, “During these times, I spend more time with my family and work on improving other parts of my body. Why not focus on those areas, become stronger, and come back even better?”

Rodri’s absence has clearly impacted City’s performance this season. The team, which has struggled to find form, has fallen out of the race to retain their Premier League title. They were eliminated from the Champions League after losing both legs of the ex-playoffs.

Currently, City sits in fourth place in the league, with 47 points from 27 matches, having won 14 and drawn 7.

There is still hope for City to win a trophy this season, as they remain in the FA Cup. Guardiola’s side will face Plymouth in the fifth round on Saturday.
