Vinícius Jr. has once again dismissed rumors about a move to Saudi Arabia, making it clear that his future remains at Real Madrid. The Brazilian star is eagerly waiting for his contract renewal while also opening up about his decision to skip the Ballon d’Or ceremony.

The speculation refuses to die down, even though Vinícius has denied it multiple times. Is he really heading to Saudi Arabia? The Real Madrid forward has firmly reiterated that he wants to stay at his dream club, surrounded by the people he cherishes. In fact, he is counting down the days to signing a new contract with Los Blancos.

Vinícius is currently under contract with Real Madrid until 2027, with a €1 billion release clause. Last year, reports from ESPN and other outlets suggested that Saudi clubs were highly interested in signing him. While he turned down the move then, the Saudi authorities haven’t given up. Spanish media have reported that Al Hilal sees him as the ideal replacement for Neymar.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League semi-final against Atlético Madrid, the 24-year-old winger made his stance crystal clear—Real Madrid is his only focus.

“I’m very calm. My contract runs until 2027, and I hope to renew it as soon as possible.”

“I’m really happy here. I play alongside the best footballers in the world, the best coach, the best president… Everyone at this club loves me. There’s nowhere else I’d rather be.”

Vinícius has already won three La Liga titles, two Champions Leagues, two Club World Cups, and a total of 14 trophies with Real Madrid. But he dreams of achieving even more—he wants to cement his place among the club’s greatest legends.

“I hope to score more goals here and play many more matches wearing this jersey. Since childhood, my dream was to play for Real Madrid. Now I’m here. There’s still so much to win, and I want to be a part of this club’s history. So many legends have played here—it won’t be easy.”

Last year, Vinícius was named FIFA The Best Men’s Player, but the bigger controversy surrounded his absence from the Ballon d’Or ceremony. His decision to skip the event sparked debates over the past few months. Now, he has finally addressed it, saying he was simply following club instructions.

“I do what the club tells me to do. The club told me to stay in Madrid, so I stayed.”
