After suffering a 3-0 defeat in the first leg, Leverkusen hoped for a miracle at home. However, they barely put up a fight as Bayern sealed another comfortable victory.

In the second leg on Tuesday night, Bayern won 2-0 at Leverkusen’s home ground, completing a 5-0 aggregate win. Vincent Kompany’s side now moves on to the last eight.

Kane Leads Bayern’s Charge

Harry Kane was the star of the night. The English striker opened the scoring and played a crucial role in Alphonso Davies’ goal.

Jamal Musiala came close to adding more to Bayern’s tally, but two of his shots were denied by the crossbar and the post.

This marks Bayern’s sixth consecutive season reaching the Champions League quarter-finals. They will now face Inter Milan, who defeated Feyenoord 2-1 in their second-leg match, advancing 4-1 on aggregate.

Kane Makes History

After a goalless first half, Kane broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute. A failed clearance from Leverkusen inside the box allowed him to finish from close range.

With that goal, Kane became the first English player to score 10 goals in a single Champions League season. The previous record for an Englishman in one campaign was seven goals, set by Steven Gerrard for Liverpool in 2008-09.

In the 71st minute, Alphonso Davies doubled Bayern’s lead. Kane delivered a perfect cross, and the Canadian defender fired a half-volley into the net.

Musiala almost added a third, but within five minutes (from the 81st to 86th minute), two of his efforts hit the woodwork.

With another commanding performance, Bayern marches into the quarter-finals, keeping their hopes alive for European glory.
