Barcelona coach Hansi Flick believes his team still has a long way to go despite keeping their hopes alive for three major trophies this season.

The Catalan giants remain strong contenders in La Liga, the Champions League, and the Copa del Rey. However, Flick is not willing to discuss their title prospects just yet. In his view, it’s simply too early for such conversations.

Barcelona, currently leading La Liga, secured a place in the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday night with a 3-1 victory over Benfica in the second leg of the Round of 16. With a 4-1 aggregate score, they comfortably advanced to the next stage.

The team is now unbeaten in 17 matches and has also reached the Copa del Rey semi-finals.

Despite the growing pressure to win trophies, Flick remains focused on the journey ahead.

“First and foremost, we have to concentrate on the quarter-finals and prepare well for our next opponent,” Flick stated.

“Among all the competitions, the Champions League is certainly the toughest. Hopefully, we can progress and eventually win the title, but the road ahead is still long.”

La Liga Title Race Heats Up
The La Liga title race is shaping up to be one of the closest in recent years, with just one point separating the top three teams. Barcelona, with 57 points from one game fewer, sits at the top alongside defending champions Real Madrid. Atletico Madrid is close behind with 56 points.

Meanwhile, in the Copa del Rey, Barcelona faces Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals. After a thrilling 4-4 draw at home in the first leg, the decisive second leg will take place at the Wanda Metropolitano on April 2.

On Tuesday, Barcelona delivered another impressive performance against Benfica. Brazilian star Raphinha scored twice, while teenage sensation Lamine Yamal added a stunning goal. Flick was delighted with his team’s display.

“I’m happy. We showed respect to Benfica, who played very well and made things difficult for us. But we performed brilliantly, and I’m proud,” said the German coach.

Flick also praised Yamal for breaking his goal drought.

“Lamine hadn’t scored for over a month—six matches in total. He’s happy because it was an important goal for us. It was a fantastic effort. We’re all thrilled for him because he’s a great kid and an exceptional player.”

What’s Next for Barcelona?
In the Champions League quarter-finals, Barcelona will face either Borussia Dortmund or Lille. Before that, they have a crucial La Liga showdown against Atletico Madrid on Sunday.

With the season entering a decisive phase, Flick remains focused on the battles ahead rather than entertaining title talks too soon.
