When the topic of the Brazil national football team came up, Carlo Ancelotti seemed keen to steer clear of it.

Brazil’s interest in Ancelotti and their formal offer to bring him in have been widely known for quite some time. The Italian coach has previously turned them down on multiple occasions with a firm “no.” But things seem to have shifted recently — and this time, his stance wasn’t as strong.

Following Real Madrid’s disappointing Champions League quarter-final exit to Arsenal across both legs, questions are swirling about Ancelotti’s future at the club. Rumors are gaining traction that the club may part ways with him at the end of the season.

Neither the club nor Ancelotti has made any definitive statements about it yet. But during a press conference on Saturday, the moment Brazil was mentioned, Ancelotti appeared to avoid giving a clear answer.

In a brief response, he simply said: “We’ll talk about this at the end of the season.”

In the past, Ancelotti was quick to shut down any speculation — always emphasizing his commitment to Real Madrid and referring to his existing contract. This time, the tone was notably different.

The 65-year-old still has a contract with Real Madrid until June 2026. During his two spells at the club, he’s led the team to three Champions League titles, two La Liga trophies, and numerous other honors — making him one of the most successful managers in the club’s storied history.
