This season, Yamal has scored 14 goals for Barcelona and has also been involved in 22 assists for his teammates.
In an interview with ESPN, Yamal opened up about how Raphinha’s advice has shaped his journey. However, he chose not to reveal exactly what the Brazilian forward had said to him.
“I received the best advice from Raphinha. It happened about two months ago. It was a message that really helped me. No one had ever said something like that to me before,” Yamal shared.
“At that moment, I realized it was exactly what I needed, even though I didn’t know it at the time. Raphinha is doing a great job both as a person and as a captain.”
This season, Barcelona has already won one title and remains in the fight for three more. They are currently four points ahead of Real Madrid in La Liga. The two teams will face each other in the Copa del Rey final this Saturday.
