Liverpool is expected to hold a victory parade lasting between three to five hours for their 15-kilometer route.

Five years ago, after winning the Premier League title, Liverpool couldn’t celebrate with their supporters due to the circumstances. Finally, they have the chance to do so. On May 26th, they will celebrate their 20th league title with a parade on a public holiday.

On Sunday, Liverpool demolished Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 at Anfield, clinching the Premier League title with four matches still to play.

With this victory, Liverpool has tied Manchester United for the most league titles (20) in English football history. Once dominant in English football, the club had struggled since the Premier League era began in 1992, but they finally ended their 30-year wait and won their first Premier League title in the 2019-2020 season.

However, due to COVID-19 restrictions, they were unable to hold a proper celebration back then. This time, they will finally have their moment.

Liverpool will play their final match of the season on May 25th, and the victory parade will take place the following day. The open-top bus parade will begin at 2:30 PM local time and will cover a distance of 15 kilometers. The parade is expected to last between three to five hours.

Preparations for the parade are already underway, as confirmed by Liverpool City Council leader Liam Robinson in a statement on Monday.

“Liverpool’s victory parade is about more than just football,” said Robinson. “It’s a celebration of our city’s pride, passion, and community spirit. Behind the scenes, a lot of work is being done to prepare for this event.”
