Barcelona’s young winger, Lamine Yamal, is overjoyed after a thrilling comeback victory over Real Madrid.

“Our glory is never about falling, but about getting up every time we do,” Yamal had told his teammates before the match, inspiring them with his words. The match itself reflected that sentiment perfectly. After falling behind by two goals against Real Madrid, Barcelona responded with four goals in the first half. With this Clasico win, Barcelona is now incredibly close to winning the league title.

In a thrilling La Liga clash on Sunday at home, Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 4-3 under the management of Hansi Flick. This victory saw Barcelona win all four Clasicos this season.

With this win, Barcelona extended their lead to seven points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid. To reclaim the league title, Barcelona needs just one more win in their remaining three matches.

Barcelona was 2-0 down within the first 14 minutes due to Kylian Mbappé’s brace, but they fought back fiercely. From the 19th to the 45th minute, they scored four goals, taking a 4-2 lead into the break. Although Mbappé completed his hat-trick in the second half, Barcelona secured all three points.

After the match, Yamal couldn’t hide his excitement.

“It was a very important match, and we wanted to bounce back in front of our fans at home. We struggled at times, but we had clear opportunities to extend our lead,” he said.

Last week, Barcelona was dramatically eliminated from the Champions League after a 4-3 defeat to Inter Milan in the semi-final second leg. After the match, Yamal’s eyes were filled with tears, but he vowed to return in top form next season.

Now, with his focus solely on winning the league title, Yamal reiterated his determination.

“I can’t wait to play at Camp Nou (currently under renovation). Playing in front of these fans at the Olympic Stadium is great, though. We will aim for the Champions League next season, but right now, we’re thrilled to be so close to the title with this win.”

With the goal of securing the title, Barcelona will face Espanyol in their next match on Thursday.
