A new chapter has been added to the ongoing battle between Kylian Mbappé and PSG. This time, the Parisian club has taken legal action against their former player, Mbappé. PSG has filed a defamation lawsuit against the French striker of Real Madrid, demanding millions of euros in compensation.
French media outlet RMC Sport reported yesterday that PSG initially filed a request in court to lift the order that froze €5.5 million from the club’s bank account, a move prompted by allegations made by Mbappé.
PSG claims that Mbappé is not entitled to any money from them and, in fact, they are owed €98 million by the player. This amount is being claimed as compensation for defamation, with PSG having filed a damages lawsuit for the same reason, according to RMC Sport.
The club has also emphasized that they want a swift resolution to the €5.5 million demand from Mbappé. However, there has been little response from the player’s side. It was expected that the matter would be settled on the upcoming hearing date of May 26. But in the meantime, PSG has moved forward with their legal action against Mbappé.
However, Mbappé’s lawyer has claimed that the player is not concerned about this matter. According to the lawyer, everything is in their favor.
