Scoring a simple goal seems out of Laminé Yamal’s style. Nearly every goal he scores is breathtaking and elegant! In the match that sealed the La Liga title, Barcelona’s wonderkid stunned opponents Espanyol with a remarkable goal. After the game, midfielder Pedri and coach Hansi Flick said that Yamal regularly scores such goals in training.
On Thursday in La Liga, Barcelona secured the title by defeating Espanyol 2-0. Yamal scored the outstanding goal in the 53rd minute.
Receiving the ball near the right flank, Yamal quickly advanced toward the box. He dodged one defender and from outside the box took a clever shot. The ball curved perfectly, weaving between two defenders and beyond the goalkeeper’s reach into the net.
Later, Fermín López increased the lead during added time. However, Yamal’s goal was the main topic of discussion after the match.
Though still early in his career, Yamal has scored many such impressive goals. The 17-year-old star consistently delivers dazzling finishes.
After the match, midfielder Pedri told Movistar Plus that Yamal had already shown a preview before the game began. Pedri himself has had an excellent season and is still quite young at 22, but he said Yamal needs to be taken care of carefully.
“The move Laminé scored with is something he practices a lot. Even during warm-ups today, he scored two goals the exact same way.”
“We have to look after him well so he can just enjoy playing. He’s an extraordinary footballer.”
Coach Hansi Flick also noted that Yamal regularly performs these tricks in training.
“He’s scored many goals like this already. Every day in practice, he tries this move. Today’s goal was absolutely perfect.”
