Borussia Dortmund secure final Champions League spot with stunning comeback.

Bayern Munich delivered the dominant performance everyone expected against the much weaker Hoffenheim side. Having already reclaimed the Bundesliga title, the German giants ended their season in style with a goal fest.

On Saturday, they wrapped up their final league game with a convincing 4-0 away win. Goals came from Michael Olise, Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry, and Harry Kane.

Vincent Kompany’s side finished the season with 25 wins and 7 draws from 34 matches, collecting a total of 82 points.

Harry Kane led the scoring charts once again this season with 26 goals—more than any other player. The English striker had also finished as top scorer last season with 36 goals.

This feat puts Kane in the history books: since joining Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, he has now become the first player in Bundesliga history to finish as top scorer in his first two seasons.

Bayer Leverkusen, last season’s champions, couldn’t retain their crown and finished second with 69 points from 19 wins and 12 draws.

Leverkusen, under coach Xabi Alonso, couldn’t finish on a high either. In their final match, they were held to a 2-2 draw by Mainz.

However, that result helped them break a Bundesliga record—Leverkusen are now unbeaten in 34 straight away games, surpassing Bayern Munich’s previous record.

In another key match, Eintracht Frankfurt beat Freiburg 3-1 to claim third place and a spot in the Champions League. They finished with 60 points from 17 wins and 9 draws.

“Borussia Dortmund secure final Champions League spot with stunning comeback.” Their fate was also helped by Freiburg’s loss. Dortmund climbed from 10th to 4th by winning 6 of their last 7 league games, finishing with 57 points (17 wins and 6 draws).

Freiburg, despite finishing fifth with 55 points, will play in next season’s Europa League. Meanwhile, Mainz secured a Europa Conference League spot with 52 points, placing sixth.

At the other end of the table, Holstein Kiel and Bochum were relegated from the Bundesliga. Heidenheim, who finished 16th, will now face a relegation play-off.
