Venezia 2 – 3 Juventus
At the same time, Roma won away at Torino, but the victory felt hollow — they still missed out.
Juventus had a clear equation: win, and secure a Champions League spot. Despite facing a relegated Venezia side, it wasn’t smooth sailing. The Serie A giants had to dig deep, but they did just enough — coming from behind to claim a vital 3-2 victory and punch their ticket to Europe’s top competition.
Three teams had already secured their Champions League berths from this season’s Serie A. Only one place remained. On the final matchday, Juventus made it theirs with a hard-fought win.
Venezia, already relegated, struck early through Daňiel. But Juventus responded swiftly, scoring twice in just six minutes of the first half — Kenan Yıldız and Randal Kolo Muani getting on the scoresheet.
The second half saw more drama as Haps brought Venezia level in the 55th minute. However, Juventus weren’t done. In the 73rd minute, Manuel Locatelli calmly converted a penalty to restore their lead. They held on until the final whistle and walked off with smiles — mission accomplished.
Juventus ended the campaign in fourth place with 70 points.
Champions Napoli topped the table with 82 points, followed closely by runners-up Inter Milan with 81. Atalanta, who had already clinched UCL qualification, finished with 74.
As a result of Juventus’ win, Roma — despite beating Torino in their match — were left disappointed. With 69 points, they finished fifth and will play in the Europa League.
Fiorentina, with 65 points, secured sixth and will compete in the Conference League next season.
The three teams relegated from Serie A this season are Empoli, Venezia, and Monza.
