Roony Bardghji has impressed at a young age with his pace, skill, and goal-scoring ability — and now, at just 19, he’s earned his shot on the big stage. Barcelona have officially signed the Swedish youth international winger.
Born in Kuwait, Bardghji joins the Catalan club from FC Copenhagen on a four-year deal, set to keep him at Camp Nou until June 30, 2029. Barcelona confirmed the signing on Monday but did not disclose any details about the transfer fee.
Bardghji joined Copenhagen in the summer of 2020 and, within two years, broke into their first team, quickly becoming a key player.
He has long been regarded as one of Europe’s brightest young talents. Though a serious injury sidelined him for nearly a year — a major setback during his formative years — Bardghji bounced back strongly, wasting little time to prove himself again after recovery.
During his time at Copenhagen, he won three Danish league titles and two Danish Cups. Bardghji made 84 appearances for the club, scoring 15 goals and registering one assist.
