This marks the seventh signing of the summer for the Spanish club.
Atletico Madrid continue to bolster their squad ahead of the new season, this time bringing in Italian forward Giacomo Raspadori from Napoli.
The 25-year-old has signed a five-year contract, the club confirmed on Monday. According to Italian media, the La Liga side paid €26 million for the transfer.
Raspadori initially joined Napoli on loan from Sassuolo in 2022 and tasted Serie A glory in his very first season. The move was made permanent the following summer.
Last season, he won his second Serie A title with Napoli. Across all competitions, he made 109 appearances for the club, scoring 13 goals and providing 10 assists—most of them coming as a substitute.
Raspadori was also part of Italy’s Euro 2020-winning squad and has scored 9 goals in 40 appearances for his country.
