Manchester United are reportedly ready to spend £18.1 million to sign Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp.
United’s goalkeeping situation has been unstable lately, with neither André Onana nor Altay Bayındır able to fully cement their spot between the posts. Now, according to multiple reports, Lammens could be the next addition to strengthen the squad at Old Trafford.
There had been recent speculation linking United with Argentina’s World Cup-winning goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, but British media now report that United are instead closing in on 23-year-old Lammens on a five-year deal.
According to Reuters, United are prepared to pay £18.1 million to bring the talented Belgian shot-stopper to the Premier League.
If the reports are accurate, competition for the No. 1 spot at United will only intensify.
Since making his debut for Royal Antwerp in November 2023, Lammens has featured in 60 matches, keeping 12 clean sheets and establishing himself as one of Belgium’s most promising young goalkeepers.
