The French magazine ‘France Football’ announced Enrique’s name as the Coach of the Year during a glittering awards ceremony in Paris on Monday.
In the men’s category, he beat Barcelona’s Hansi Flick, Liverpool’s Arne Slot, Chelsea’s Enzo Maresca, and Napoli’s Antonio Conte.
Under Enrique’s guidance last season, PSG finally tasted the elusive Champions League triumph. They also claimed the Ligue 1 title, the French Cup, and the French Super Cup.
In women’s football, Sarina Wiegman, coach of England’s Women’s Euro-winning side, was named Coach of the Year.
Since last year, the Ballon d’Or has included the Coach of the Year category, named after Dutch and Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff. In 2024, Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti won the men’s award, while Chelsea coach Emma Hayes claimed the women’s title.
