According to Bloomberg, Cristiano Ronaldo’s total net worth now stands at $1.4 billion.
The New York–based financial media company has officially recognized the Portuguese superstar as the world’s first billionaire footballer.
For the first time, Bloomberg assessed the 40-year-old’s overall wealth, considering his career earnings, investments, and brand endorsements. Their estimate places Ronaldo’s total fortune at $1.4 billion.
Between 2002 and 2023, Ronaldo reportedly earned over $550 million from salaries alone. In addition, lucrative sponsorship and brand deals have added to his wealth — including a 10-year Nike contract worth around $18 million annually.
After leaving European football, Ronaldo joined Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr in December 2022 under a jaw-dropping $200 million deal, making him the highest-paid footballer in the world.
Originally set to expire this June, his contract was extended for another two years, reportedly worth $400 million, according to multiple media outlets.
Ronaldo has also topped Forbes’ list of highest-paid athletes for the past three consecutive years, cementing his legacy both on and off the pitch.
