The October World Cup qualifiers concluded on Tuesday, with six teams securing their spots for the 2026 tournament—South Africa, Qatar, England, Saudi Arabia, Côte d’Ivoire, and Senegal.
For the first time, the World Cup will feature 48 teams and will be hosted next year across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. As hosts, these three nations had already secured their participation, and with Tuesday’s qualifiers, 25 more teams have now joined them.
