Belgian coach Vincent Kompany has extended his contract with the German champions by another two years.
Kompany renewed his deal with Bayern Munich two years ahead of its original expiry, extending his stay with the club for an additional two years.
The Bundesliga side confirmed the news in a statement on Tuesday. The 39-year-old Belgian will now remain at the Allianz Arena until 2029.
Kompany initially took charge of the Bavarians on a deal running until 2027. In his first season as coach, he led the team to reclaim the Bundesliga title, and Bayern continue to impress this season. They currently top the league with 21 points from seven consecutive wins.
Bayern remain unbeaten this season, winning 11 matches across all competitions. On Wednesday, they will face Kompany’s home country club, Club Brugge, in the Champions League at their home ground, with Harry Kane and the team ready for the clash.
