As a result, the rumors about him joining Barcelona have turned out to be false.
Harry Kane is not looking for a new club—he sees his future at Bayern Munich. The English striker is keen to extend his contract with the German club.
Kane joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023 for a record €95.5 million transfer fee. His contract with the Bundesliga champions runs until June 30, 2027.
Two years after arriving in Munich, Kane finally achieved a long-awaited career milestone, tasting silverware for the first time. He played a key role in helping Bayern reclaim the league title last season.
Kane continues his excellent form this season as well, scoring 24 goals in 18 matches across all competitions for Bayern. For a long time, there have been rumors about a potential return to the English Premier League, including discussions linking him to Barcelona.
However, Kane has no intention of leaving Bayern for another club.
Bayern will face Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday at 2 AM Bangladesh time. The 32-year-old spoke to the media the previous day about his future plans.
“Joining Bayern was one of the best decisions of my life. A new league, a team like Bayern Munich, these European nights, the atmosphere of the German league—all of this has added an amazing chapter to my career and improved me as a player.”
“I am eager to stay at Bayern for a longer period. Given the position we’re in and the way we’re playing, I believe we are one of the best teams in Europe. I don’t look at any other team thinking, ‘I want to go there.’ I am genuinely happy here. I still have 18 months left on my contract, and I’m confident that discussions about a new deal will definitely happen in the future.”
In the Champions League, both Bayern and Arsenal have won all four of their matches so far. Bayern lead the group on goal difference with 12 points, Arsenal are second, and Inter Milan also have 12 points.
