Barcelona forward Raphinha, the hero in their win against Osasuna, urged his teammates to stay focused on their own tasks.
After bouncing back strongly following their Clasico defeat, Barcelona are showing clear improvement in their play, according to Raphinha. The star forward believes that by concentrating on doing their own jobs well, the team doesn’t need to worry about what the opponents are doing.
On Saturday at Camp Nou, Barcelona secured a 2-0 victory over Osasuna, with both goals coming from Raphinha in the second half. The win puts Barcelona seven points ahead of Real Madrid at the top of the table, although Xavi Alonso’s side has one game in hand.
This marked Barcelona’s fifth consecutive victory across all competitions since their 3-0 Champions League loss to Chelsea last month. Speaking after the match, Raphinha said the team is steadily improving.
“We are playing better than before, and the more points we collect, the better it is,” he said.
“We have to focus on ourselves. If we do our job correctly, we don’t need to think about anyone else.”
With this win, Barcelona sit top of La Liga with 43 points from 17 matches and 14 victories, while Real Madrid are second with 36 points.
